Dr. Willett earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2002. She completed her residency training at L.S.U. New Orleans, where she was elected as Chief Resident during her last year. Dr. Willett is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She currently is a member of the East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Society, the Louisiana State Medical Society, American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Special Medical Interests:
Dr. Willett treats all obstetrical patients form low-high risk, as well as gynecologic patients ranging from adolescence to menopause. Her special interests include women's health education, laparoscopic surgery (including laparoscopic hysterectomy), as well as uterine preserving surgery such as endometrial ablations.
In addition to medicated deliveries, Dr. Willett also practices the following natural childbirth options, for the low risk patient:
- Light diet during labor
- Ambulation during labor
- Use of a certified doula
- Tub labor
- Intermittent electronic fetal monitoring during labor
