Dr. Andrus graduated from LSU School of Medicine in 1975. He went on to complete his OB/GYN Residency at LSU from 1975 to 1979. Dr. Andrus is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Andrus was Chief of Staff at Woman's Hospital in 1991. He held a position as member of the Board of Directors of Woman's Hospital from 1995 to 2002, and was Chairman of the Board in 2000. Dr. Andrus is past President and a founding member of Louisiana Women's Healthcare Associates. He received an MBA degree from LSU in 1996.

Special Medical Interests:

Dr. Andrus specializes in minimally invasive pelvic surgery including robotic assisted hysterectomy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, and laser laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis and infertility. He also performs endometrial ablations, hysteroscopy, elective sterilization procedures and urinary incontinence surgery. In addition he provides care for both low and high risk obstetrical patients.
