Dr. Mathew Root is a Baton Rouge native who provides compassionate, patient-centered obstetric and gynecologic care. He is committed to helping women feel heard, respected, and confident in their healthcare decisions, whether they are navigating pregnancy, managing gynecologic concerns, or moving through a new stage of life.
With a special interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, Dr. Root offers advanced surgical techniques designed to reduce pain, shorten recovery time, and support improved outcomes. He values open communication and takes time to explain each patient’s options clearly, creating individualized care plans in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Root enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, and cooking.
