Dr. Stelter is an Obstetrician and Gynecologic surgeon at Louisiana Women’s Healthcare in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Dr. Stelter originates from Tampa, Florida where she graduated from Hillsborough High School International Baccalaureate program. She graduated Cum Laude from University of Florida with a major in Microbiology Science and minor in Disabilities Studies. She graduated with honors from St George’s University School of Medicine. There she served as vice president of the Student Government Association and was an active member of the Judicial and Curriculum boards. She received her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland. Throughout residency she developed a passion and skill set in minimally invasive gynecological surgery and received the Excellence in Minimally Invasive Surgery award. She was elected and served as Administrative Chief Resident during her last year. In Baltimore, Dr. Stelter met her husband, a fellow physician native to Baton Rouge. Together, they’ve come home to serve the Baton Rouge community.
Dr. Stelter is a champion for women’s health. She specializes in all obstetrics and gynecologic care with a particular interest in gynecological surgery. She is Da Vinci Robotics certified and is excited to offer a range of procedures from laparoscopic hysterectomies to uterine preserving therapies. She provides clinical gynecological care for both pre and postmenopausal women, treating a spectrum of disease including (but not limited to) endometriosis, PCOS, infertility, abnormal pap smears, hormonal therapy, and family planning.
Dr. Stelter is committed to providing patient centered care with shared decision making. She is proactive in prenatal care and hopes to establish a strong connection with her obstetrics patients. She is trained in both low and high-risk pregnancies and deliveries. She offers natural child birthing options to appropriate patients, and aims to make every pregnancy an individualized journey.
Outside of work Dr. Stelter loves all things outdoors and is an avid runner, hiker, and travel enthusiast.
